Description

I am a researcher in A.I. specialized in applied Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition. I am currently working at IBM Research Tokyo (Japan). I received my PhD in Computer Science from the University of York (UK). My PhD subject was on automatic processing of 3D face scans using machine learning techniques.

My main research interests are 2D and 3D shape analysis, local descriptors for organic objects processing under occlusion (human face and body), graph and hypergraph matching techniques as well as other registration and correspondence problems. Recently, I have been focusing on robotics and first-person vision applications as well as neural network based visual anomaly detection.
